ALL OF FRANCE
Po Live The idea behind PO Live came to me a few years ago when I came to realise the growing number of English speakers both visiting and living in this beautiful region of France.
Having successfully owned & run my own business here in the PO and being a regular radio listener day in day out, I decided it was time for a change. Listening to UK based English stations via satellite such as Radio 2 and the likes is great, but I wanted to know what was happening in Perpignan not Putney, I wanted travel news in Thuir not Torquay. Quite simply I wanted all the very latest news and views from around our region along with all the very best music, and as for certain French stations well, they can be repetitive on the music front.
I soon discovered that I was not alone - thus PO Live was born!
RADIO 74 was innaugurated on January 17, 1982, the first-ever English language FM radio broadcasting station in France and has continually operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
