Parental Controls: Manual Search Editor shall complete searches on the web for a particular topic to find as many sites as possible fitting the definitions of the topic. The PC Editor works independently from other Editors and focuses on his/her target market only. All communication on the project is done via email, so reliable, daily access to the Internet and email is essential. The Parental Controls project is a deadline-driven project, so attention to detail, follow-through, and reliability are required to be successful in this position.
This position requires between 7 to 10 hours per week, Sunday through Friday. This is a part time, freelance, home-based position.
Required Skills/Background
§ Fluency in English (both written & oral)
§ Must reside in France for the past 15 consecutive years, for cultural awareness purposes
§ Excellent Communication skills – both written and spoken
§ Ability to work under little to no supervision
§ Attention to detail
§ Knowing how to upload files to a FTP site
§ Good knowledge of current terms and trends in the French Market
§ Solid understanding of how to do web searches
System Requirements
§ High-speed Internet connection (DSL or cable)
§ Secure access to personal computer running a recent version of Windows (Vista or XP)
§ Microsoft Office 2003 or higher
§ Adobe reader and WinZip required
§ Personal computer must have at least 512 MB of memory and 1.5 GHz.
§ Note: Web Client Windows 7 will only function with Internet Explorer 7
