The principal forms of revenue from the yard are as follows:-Moorings and dry storage of boats ashore. This has been averaging at around 60 boats per week throughout the year but with the purchase of our own 60 ton crawler crane & the hydraulic trailer this has risen and the yard has the space to take up to 100  x15 metre boats ashore with no problem.

Major items of plant include :-60 ton capacity crawler crane (new track rollers and pins etc Jan 98, new lifting cable, jib cable and torque converter in Dec 2005), complete with 4 way chains to lift 34 tons , 2 chain strops to lift 34 tons, 2 nylon flat strops to lift 32 tons, 2 nylon strops to lift 20 tons. All equipment tested and insured.

47 ton capacity “Roodberg” hydraulic boat trailer (www.roodberg.com). Purchased new in Nov 2007. Fully adjustable in length, width & height to carry any shape of boat up to 20 metres long. The trailer is moved & powered by a 165 hp 4X4 International Harvester tractor (purchased 2nd hand Nov 2007).

15 purpose built  steel cradle/stands to take boats up to 20 tons, fully adjustable in height & width. These enable a very quick and efficient operation when putting boats ashore with the hydraulic trailer.

There are 2 portable sheds. The smaller is 12 metres long x 4 metres wide with a height of 6 metres and the larger one is 20 metres long x 8 metres wide with a height of 8 metres. With the hydraulic trailer boats can be moved in and out of these sheds in a matter of minutes.  2 other sheds which were purchased 2nd hand, are being erected, these will give 2 units of 25 metres long x 9 metres wide and a height of 6 metres.

Diesel tanker lorry 6500 litres total capacity split into 3 separate compartments with fuel dispensing meter and 50 m of delivery hose. 

Fork lift truck, 3.5 tons capacity lifting to 3.5 m high, powered by a 80 hp. diesel engine.

Centre lathe, gap bed, 2 metres between centres, 50 cm swing, 3 & 4 jaw chucks, fixed & travelling steadies. English & metric screw cutting. 

Universal milling machine. 

Radial arm drill with capacity for drills up to 60 mm.

Hydraulic press to fold up to 8mm. thick steel by 2.5 m wide.
