I have available at my future home in Manche ( which is undergoing restoration ) a very good condition Straight run -Left hand wall - STANNAH STAIRLIFT complete with all fittings, controls, and wiring, which I removed from a house in UK a few months ago and transported to France in order to install in our Norman house for my wife to use. It is in full working order. Due to the difficulties we faced in replacing the spiral staircase in our home with a secondary straight staircase, we decided to install a vertical lift instead, and now I have obtained this, the Stairlift is available for purchase, and this could be a good opportunity for someone in Normandy to save on the expense of having one shipped over from UK. This is a very heavy item indeed, and is approx 4 metres in length. I can deliver it within 80 kms of Tessy sur Vire for no extra charge on payment of my asking price of £300 or 450 euros. If you need someone to install it, I know a qualified French Registered English Electrician, who I am sure will be able to assist. I can confirm the exact size, when I next go to Normandy on 17 Feb 08 ( will be there for 6 days and on 07970 298287 ).The stairlift is installed by 3 brackets directly on to the wooden treads of the staircase - simple enough, and it is only the wiring which needs to be carried out professionally.These are £3,500 new, or you can have a refurbished model from Stannah with new seat upholstery for about £1,100.
